Seafood is my favourite and of cos in Italy, you are never short of it. I was taken to Jeri last December to meet some of his friends at Lerici and fell in love with it almost instantly
. I was certainly impressed with the way how different seafood were prepared without losing it's original flavor. It was there that I 1st had my experience with Scampi. It turned out to be Andrea's favourite...good choice amore.
This time round, it was just the both of us and since it is summer, we opted for the terrace. To our surprised we had to add 5 euro just for sitting there...well of cos we did. We went there pretty late and by dinner time it was already 9pm, at sunset. The wasn't any menu, it was just chef's creation plates after plates of delights until we were bloated. We had a nice view of the port & the castle, the only downside was the mosquitoe bites that were quite unbearable. Till now, I still have some reminder of these bites :(
My 2nd favourite now is situated at Portverene call Tre Torri. It's easy to spot as it has a wide open space with many children enjoy what summer has to offer, kicking footballs, jumping and screaming all over the place. There must be 20 of us there so we only managed with 2 separated tables. Still we were noisy. Once again we didn't have a menu so food were served in a flowing manner except for pasta. It was once again very good food compared to what we have in Singapore due to the freshness of the seafood.
I just can't wait to go back again during summer to discover more greatness Italy has to offer.
